Artur de Melo studied Law in Rio de Janeiro-Brazil and has extensive experience in trade and investment promotion between Brazil & Germany and in Europe in general based on experiences in the Trade Section of the Brazilian Embassy in Cologne and Berlin-Germany.
He has advised many companies, private as well as public institutions in various branches. He thus served to foster trade between the two countries. Amongst others, his tasks were to consult the management, analyse the economic situation, especially the Brazilian and German one, and obtain information with help of communication media, such as internet or databases. He also independently worked on texts and reports on terms of foreign trade. Furthermore he enlarged his acknowledgement by working with the South American largest trade information network system BrazilTradeNet, and with SIPRI- Investment and Technology Transfer Promotion System for Companies. Continuous work on trade fairs and arrangements, as well as the organisation of seminars and trade missions broadens his field of experience in the private and public organisation sector, such as federal, state and municipal bureaus. Working with German and Brazilian business partners provided the opportunity to understand the structure of the business and its culture, define intercultural problems and indeed solved them. His good language skills Portuguese, German, English, French and Spanish- are certainly an asset. His membership: German Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Group of Brazilians Enterpreneurs in Germany, German-Brazilian Lawyers Association (DBJV), Club Militar do Rio de Janeiro, OAB-Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil (Brazilian Bar Association).
Experience obtained in the German-Brazilian trade relations and a good network of contacts in both countries, provides an excellent basis to successful support our customers in realising their projects.
